Rolling Wormholes in EVE Online
First off let me acknowledge there are dozens of guides on the internet already as to how to roll wormholes "correctly", I don't claim that our way is any better than anyone else's, in fact it's almost certainly slower than some alternatives. But we prefer to build our methods on minimum risk of losing rollers on the wrong side, minimizing risk of human error causing issues, and simplifying the process for people who have as little as just one Battleship.
If you find any issues, in the sense of incorrect data, please send an EVE Mail in game to "Lasse Ker'Khan" or @ me on Discord if you're in T3C.
Terminology & Expected Knowledge
If you're on this page and don't know what rolling is, probably look up some basics first. I'll avoid going into the smallest of detail here.
- Terms
- Cold: Prop Mod Off. Mass Entanglers on if applicable.
- Hot: Prop Mod On.
- OUT: Leaving the system you are planning to stay in.
- IN: Returning to the system you are planning to stay in.
- Large Roller: A rolling battleship with a mass as close to 200 Million Kg as possible without going over.
- It also needs a Higgs Anchor so that turning on a 500MN or 100MN Prop Mod adds exactly 100 Million Kg.
- Large Hic: A rolling Hictor designed to maximize mass when not entangled.
- Medium Roller: A rolling cruiser with mass of exactly 12 Million Kg Cold, and 62 Hot.
- an overpropped Moa fits this neatly.
- Medium Hic: A rolling Hictor designed to be as close to 62 Million kg as possible when Hot.
Note that rolling mediums is rare, I've never once needed a Medium Hic before in thousands of hours of playing.
